Who is William Tyner?
“William is a San Francisco based anthropologist, designer and photographer. He was born in Baltimore and grew up in Dayton.
He’s passionate about designing solutions that improve individuals’ access to educational, financial and other important resources in their communities. He’s passionate about telling stories.
He has conducted fieldwork in Bangladesh for the Grameen Bank and worked with startups to increase diversity in the tech industry.
Most recently, he’s been working at Code for America as a 2015 Fellow, leading user research for the Albuquerque Fellowship Team. His team has been working with the Albuquerque Mayor’s Office to understand the barriers that low-income residents face in accessing critical financial services, and designing products that increase their ability to build wealth and move up the income ladder.
He graduated from Wesleyan University in Connecticut, where he studied Cultural Anthropology. He loves boxing, writing and photography.” (source)
