Who is Diamond James?
“I design, write well, and lead.
I am a extrovert designing ways local government can respond to residents’ needs, increase equity, and improve customer service for residents.
My role is three-pronged:
- I lead strategy on how Mayor Garcetti’s Innovation Team can best learn from residents, City employees and local stakeholders
- I design solutions to address what we learn
- I create the assets that accompany those solutions.
Before my career in social innovation, I was a visual journalist and art director at The Washington Post. I am a native Angeleno, and am glad to be home doing this important work.” (source, edited)
